The Bluff 3” Casting Jig.

Weighing in at .8 oz the Bluff 3” Casting Jig is a perfect imitation of small bait. Swims side to side with a slow retrieve and can be skipped across the surface with a fast retrieve.

Rigged with VMC Treble Hook

Length: 7 inches

Weights: 1.25oz head (gold eyes) or 2oz head (green eyes). The silicone tail adds an extra 1.5oz but is neutrally buoyant in the water.

Hook:‍ This DoorMantis features a Trophy 9/0 BKK hook. It serves two roles, to be incredibly strong and reliable and have a gap wide enough to fit around the lips of large fish or securely above the lip. This hook swings from the back of the head via a Rasco 6.5H 120 lb split ring. The swinging hook is a key feature to reduced dropped fish. The 1/16” Stainless thru wire is hand bent and welded shut. The body is made from a durable and stretchy non toxic silicone. As well a custom barb has been cast onto the hook to ensure a secure connection. No zip ties needed.

This 10” hybrid swimbait incorporates a solid urethane head and silicone tail. This hybrid design produces an incredibly lifelike swimming action. At 3 oz with a buoyant core, this bait floats with its head pointed up in the water. With a steady retrieve, it will swim with a tail-thumping action that pumps out vortex wake vibrations into the water that fish pick up on with their lateral lines. Give the lure a slow, steady sweep and feel the rod vibrate as the lure frantically swims then pause and watch the lure suspend, mimicking an injured baitfish. This is an incredibly productive technique that consistently produces reaction strikes.

In addition, this lure is designed with a magnet embedded inside the head that holds a single hook in place during casting and retrieve, only releasing when a fish hits. Major benefits of this include reduced torque on the fish when retrieving and handling, reduced fish mortality, and safer handling for the fisherman.

Fished with a slow retrieve it swims about 5-8’ deep. Fishes great on a steady retrieve with a hard thumping action and when jerked and paused it mimics the action of a dying baitfish. This lure also excels when trolling. Fished trolled at 3.5 mph expect this lure to run about 6-10’ deep

Fast Sink: 2oz head, 1 oz tail (3oz total weight)

Get deep swimming action with the Fast Sinking Swimbait. Allow this lure to sink to your desired depth, then retrieve it slowly letting it hold its depth. Or let it sink then jig it up and down in big sweeping motions on the retrieve. This specific method works wonders as it calls nearby fish with a thumping upward swigging action, then dies with a slow spiral down. Be ready for the hit on the drop. This lure also excels when trolling. Fished fish at 3.5 mph except this lure to run about 13’-15’ deep.
