Currently all lures are made hand made by me, Dan Termini the founder of Bluff. I produce hand made batches of lures in my workshop just outside of Philadelphia PA. I designed all of these lures primarily for the North East Atlantic fishery with utility and durability leading the way. Made for the surf, boat or kayak. My experiences on the water has led me to innovate features such as a single hook / magnetic release system, removable and interchangeable tails and vortex shedding lure movements. Designed for anglers who thrive in the shallows the Shallow Swimmer is a meticulously crafted swimbait ment to swim on the surface down to 3 feet under the surface. It swims with a tail-thumping action that pumps out vortex wake vibrations into the water that fish feel with their lateral lines enticing them to strike. Whether you're fishing the backbays, a rocky shoreline, or open water, this swimbait is designed for anywhere fish are hunting near the top of the water column.
Magnetic Release:
This lure is designed with a magnet embedded inside the head that holds a single hook in place during casting and retrieve, only releasing when a fish hits. Major benefits of this include reduced torque on the fish when retrieving and handling, reduced fish mortality, and safer handling for the fisherman.
Replaceable Tail:

Durable Materials:
The head of this lure is made from solid urethane with the color cast Into the head. The tails are made from a durable silicone that can withstand being pulled on during aggressive strike.

Slow Sink 1.2oz head, 1oz tail. (2.2oz total weight)
Fished with a slow retrieve it swims about 5-8’ deep. Fishes great on a steady retrieve with a hard thumping action and when jerked and paused it mimics the action of a dying baitfish. This lure also excels when trolling. Fished trolled at 3.5 mph expect this lure to run about 6-10’ deep
Fast Sink: 2oz head, 1 oz tail (3oz total weight)
Get deep swimming action with the Fast Sinking Swimbait. Allow this lure to sink to your desired depth, then retrieve it slowly letting it hold its depth. Or let it sink then jig it up and down in big sweeping motions on the retrieve. This specific method works wonders as it calls nearby fish with a thumping upward swigging action, then dies with a slow spiral down. Be ready for the hit on the drop. This lure also excels when trolling. Fished fish at 3.5 mph except this lure to run about 13’-15’ deep.
Vortex Shedding:
With a steady retrieve or a sweep and die technique this lure it will swim with a tail-thumping action that pumps out vortex wake vibrations into the water that fish feel with their lateral lines. Give this lure a slow, steady sweep up and feel the rod vibrate as the lure frantically swims toward the surface, then pause and watch the lure suspend, mimicking an injured baitfish. This is an incredibly productive technique that consistently produces reaction strikes.
